What's this National Board thing we keep hearing about? Do I want to do it? If I do, what will that look like for me? Am I a good fit? I am currently pursuing a national board certification in secondary math with the LISD Cohort. In this session, I will pose and answer general questions about the experience so far and we will examine what the National Board considers to be the characteristics of accomplished teaching. For elementary teachers in attendance, the certification you would pursue has significant differences from the secondary, but 80% of the information in this session will still apply to you.
Lubbock ISD Educators will take a deep dive into the DreamBox Predictive Insights student data report and how to utilize DreamBox Proficiency reports to support a student’s weekly prediction. Along with Proficiency Standards, educators will understand how to created targeted Assignments based on a student’s DreamBox Predictive Insight.

In this session Tarah Williams and Casey Wilkins will provide a template for data tracking. This is a tool we both used in our classroom this year that held students accountable and not only showed them their gaps but helped them to see their strengths as well. You will be able to adjust this template to fit the needs of your students and classroom. Whether it is just for CFA’s, District Assessment or both you will leave with a data tracker to help your students set attainable goals throughout the year. This tracker will help teachers hit Domain 2.1 Distinguished which systematically enables students to set goals for themselves and monitor their progress over time.
